“Cassandra, are you in her-whoa!” Vivi said, feet lifting off the ground as she entered the glass dome of a room.
“Vivi! Hey there!” Cassandra said, floating in the middle of the room. She leaned backwards, so she was now upside down but at least facing Vivi. “What’s up?”
“Uh- everything, apparently. Cassandra- what…is this place? I haven’t seen it on other Capellan ships. And I thought artificial gravity was mandatory everywhere on a ship,” Vivi said, trying to swim through the air to get closer to Cassandra.
“It is- usually. But on Capellan caravels, there’s what’s known as the ‘gravity chamber’ which is where we are now. It’s supposed to help Capellans get used to the gravity on other planets, but…I just like to float,” Cassandra explained, soft flames bursting out of her hands and pushing her forwards towards Vivi.
“What’s so great about floating- it’s so hard to move,” Vivi grumbled, unable to really get anywhere. Cassandra chuckled as she finally reached her lover, still upside down- but her body was curved so she was almost arching over Vivi.
“There’s a lot of fun you can have in zero gravity,” Cassandra breathed, her face a hair’s width away from Vivi’s. There was a mischievous glimmer in her eyes as she pressed her lips to Vivi’s- the stars shining outside couldn’t compare to way Cassandra’s heart was radiating.
